Airflow / Perioflow

Airflow / Perioflow

This is a modern approach in cleaning based on the sub- and supragingival biofilm removal using air-polishing technology with airflow plus powder. This air polisher uses pressurized air, a special powder and water to remove plaque biofilm and stains. Air flow polishing is the ideal way to remove the stains and discoloration caused by smoking or by drinking red wine, tea and coffee as it whitens teeth while thoroughly removing dental plaque.

Why Choose Airflow?

For patient comfort

Air polishing is a fast, painless and non-invasive method of cleaning that does not generate any heat or vibration. Scraping tools that dig into your gums are eliminated if airflow can do all the work. Air polishing powders also added flavors, making the experience even more pleasant.

Faster cleaning

Air flow polishing is faster at removing stains and plaque than traditional methods. Less time in the chair for patients making them more comfortable. Teeth are also cleaned in a much less abrasive manner.

More effective cleaning

Airflow not just polishes the surfaces of the teeth but is able to clean tight interproximal areas and reach deep pockets up to a depth of 5mm. Even deeper, subgingival air polishing can be carried out using a perio flow extension nozzle and air flow polishing is completely safe to use with dental implants, veneers, crowns and bridges.

Airflow

Reduces teeth sensitivity

Air flow polishing is ideal for patients who suffer from sensitive teeth. Not only because of the lack of direct contact and absence of vibration and heat but because particles of the powder can fill exposed dentine tubules and reduce tooth sensitivity.
